Agfa to showcase its Eclipse process-free plate technology during virtual event

Print Industry News

Since it was introduced last year, Agfa’s Eclipse printing plate has been adopted by printing companies worldwide. Eclipse is a process-free plate ideal for sheetfed commercial printers that brings distinctive benefits:

  • It keeps the press clean as its coating is transferred to the first few printed sheets, instead of to the press as is the case with other process-free plates.
  • For the first time, this process-free plate features stable image contrast. Eclipse keeps its superior and stable image contrast even after a week of storage or after 24 hours in office light.
  • Eclipse has high scratch resistance. Printers don’t need to worry about damaging the plate during loading, storing, transporting or mounting.

On Tuesday, June 15, Agfa will host a virtual event in two separate sessions (11:30 am and 2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) dedicated to Eclipse, inviting participants to “See The Difference” for themselves. Agfa experts will explore the plate’s unique technology and performance – and its value for printing companies will be illustrated by a live comparison against competitive plates. Several Eclipse users from around the world will share their experiences with the technology, and questions will be answered during a live Q&A session. To register for the event please visit the Agfa Studio 4D48 website.
