Crawford Packaging (London, Ontario) has announced that it has acquired Summit Paper & Packaging (Brampton, Ontario). Summit Paper & Packaging specializes in industrial packaging solutions, with a particular emphasis on driving efficiency in distribution and e-commerce accounts. Successfully owned and managed by Mike Bowden and Dan Djakalovic, Bowden recently retired, while Djakalovic will remain as management. The addition of Summit Paper & Packaging will allow Crawford to strengthen and expand its industrial packaging solutions. “The employees at Summit are knowledgeable, dedicated and have customer-centric thinking. We’re excited to welcome the Summit employees to the Crawford group,” Crawford officials said in a release. Summit will continue to operate independently to ensure that the transition is seamless for its customers. “We are pleased and privileged to bring the Summit clients and employees into the Crawford family. Mike and Dan have built a great business and we look forward to building on their legacy,” said John Ashby, President of Crawford Packaging.
Since it was established in 1963, Crawford Packaging has been known for its expertise and sales consultants who help customers solve numerous packaging challenges. The company’s senior sales consultants each have at least 20 years of experience and have worked on a wide variety of projects – from simple packaging equipment upgrades with limited budgets, to complex, multi-million-dollar projects at major production facilities. Their expertise further covers best practices in the use of a wide range of supplies – including stretch film, shrink film, tapes and protective packaging. They’re also experts in identifying opportunities for packaging automation.
