Monadnock Paper Mills (Bennington, New Hampshire), the oldest continuously operating paper mill in the U.S., has unveiled an “Un-Plastic Alternative” for in-store marketing applications. Its ENVIsual Board is “a renewable, fibre-based and curbside-recyclable option engineered for a new generation of retail and hospitality graphics, POP displays and signage,” said the company. ENVIsual Board is FSC-certified, manufactured carbon neutral (VERs) and made with 100% renewable Green-e certified wind-powered electricity (RECs) under a third-party certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
“ENVIsual is an easy alternative to unsustainable styrene. It’s the latest in a long line of Monadnock’s sustainably advantaged materials serving as smart and high-performing replacements for traditional plastic-based products,” said Julie Brannen, Director of Sustainability Solutions at Monadnock. “We’ll continue to deliver the performance, sustainability and premium-quality attributes demanded by today’s brands and retailers.”
ENVIsual Board is engineered to deliver high print quality for the entire range of retail advertising needs, including brand-enhancing advertising, aisle talkers, shelf-danglers and directional signage. ENVIsual was designed to withstand temperature and humidity fluctuations, the surface is easy to clean and sanitize, and it has superior edge flexibility and surface integrity so it will not crack or craze like plastics. ENVIsual Board doesn’t require costly and time-consuming Corona Treatment, a process that curtails the unsustainable material’s shelf life. The smooth, bright-white-coated performance board is available in 48” x 96” sheets.
