The Mosaica Group (Sussex, Wisconsin), a national distributor supporting dye sublimation and wide-format printing equipment, consumables and services, has unveiled its new Panthera JR – an industrial, 1.9-metre digital dye-sublimation printing system that includes premium features “without the premium price of comparable models,” said the OEM. The Mosaica Group is a leading distributor in Canada and the U.S. of the high-speed Panthera S4-1.8-metre and 3.2-metre digital dye sublimation printers. The latest addition, the Panthera JR, was designed to be a more affordable version of the original S4-1.8m and 3.2m models. Panthera S4 printing systems are known for consistency and high-quality printing with 2 x CMYK ink configuration. The optional 8-colour ink configuration provides even sharper images, more vibrant colours and richer and deeper blacks, said the company.
The Panthera JR is equipped with four i3200 Epson printheads that achieve speeds up to 1,900 square feet per hour. Panthera systems feature a specially-developed printhead controller that offers better precision and print quality, along with an anti-crash system on the carriage to protect the printheads from incorrectly hitting the transfer paper. The printer offers a roll-to-roll feeding system that helps to eliminate paper waste. Just like the S4-1.8m and 3.2m models, the Panthera JR is also capable of direct-to-fabric printing in specific applications. Overall, Panthera printers have higher proven productivity because of reduced cleaning and less maintenance requirements, are much easier to operate, and “perform more routine maintenance checks than any other printer on the market.” The Panthera JR features touchscreen operation with an advanced remote-control panel.
“I’m excited to offer a more affordable option of the Panthera,” said Randy Peters, President and CEO of The Mosaica Group. “The Panthera JR offers exceptional colour printing, ease of use, and most importantly, it’s reliable for both fast production and high-quality output on extended print runs.” In tandem with the Panthera, The Mosaica Group offers a complete dye-sub consumables’ portfolio that includes everything from tissue paper, to ink, to high-performance dye-sub transfer papers such as SupremeJettm Fast-Dry (that’s engineered with a high level of pulp and specialized fillers, resulting in greater consistency in colour along with better tensile strength). The Mosaica Group’s dye sublimation product line also includes SwissJetTM premium dye sublimation inks for Panthera printing systems – as well as any other dye-sub printer with Kyocera or Epson-based printhead technology. These inks offer extremely low consumption and a fast transfer rate.
