Sign Expo Canada 2021 cancelled

Carl Weger, President of The Sign Association of Canada’s Board of Directors, has released an announcement confirming that The Sign Association of Canada/Association Canadienne de L’Enseigne (SAC-ACE) has voted to cancel this year’s annual event, Sign Expo Canada 2021. The signage and large-format industry’s tradeshow had been scheduled to take place September 9-11 at The International Centre (Hall 5) in Mississauga, Ontario. In making this tough decision, Weger pointed to the large financial commitment required to hold and participate in SAC’s Sign Expo Canada – combined with the current restrictions on travel, the continuing pandemic, and the related economic uncertainties.

Instead, the board has opted to focus the organization’s time and resources into providing “programs and services that can help the signage and large-format industry’s respond, recover and rebuild throughout all of 2021,” Weger added. “We look forward to gathering in person in 2022 and remain steadfast in our mission to you, your staff and your companies. Stay safe and strong,” he added.
