Industry envelope giant Supremex has reported that it will be closing its Edmonton, Alberta production facility and cutting 39 jobs in a move to reduce costs. The company added that the cuts represent about 5% of its total workforce. The move is expected to result in annual cost savings of about $2.4 million before taxes, and the savings should take effect in the current quarter and throughout the first three quarters of 2021. The company operates 13 facilities across 6 provinces as well as three facilities in the United States, employing about 850 people.
